Jeff Gutt’s X Factor USA audition rocks out with his version of Hallelujah
Jeffrey Adam Gutt (pronounced like Boot) is a 36-year-old tattooed rocker dad from Detroit. He said that this is his last shot at being a rock star.
It was the first time his four-year-old son Talon saw him sing.
He said his son is his inspiration and motivating factor.
His choice of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” couldn’t have been more fitting for such an occasion.
“You nailed that thing out of the park,” said L.A. “You have this amazing grit to your voice,” mused Demi. “God’s even rocking out right now,” she said as a clap of thunder interrupted the room. Simon said, “It was one of the most brilliant auditions I’ve heard.” Four more big fat yeses!
This audition is one there for all the Dads that want to make their kids proud. Just imagine how many times Jeff has been practicing his talent, his voice control, his breathing, his pitch and tone – amazing.
Way to go Jeff. After that someone has got to give you a record deal somewhere. If that was my Dad I would be proud so I’m sure Talon is too.
