All lights are green for go for season 9 of the X Factor UK 2012. The premiere party takes place at the Corinthia Hotel in London on August 16, 2012. It is set to be a party with many of the stars from the show there.
An exciting event to rub shoulders with big names.
The winners from 2011, Little Mix will perform an interesting un-plugged acoustic set – as well as the usual media interviews and photograph opportunities.
X-Factor UK 2012 Premiere Party will be missing Gary Barlow
According to The Sun, all of “The X Factor” U.K. judges will be there except for Gary Barlow, who is understandably grieving over the death of his baby daughter Poppy. Dawn and Gary Barlows bereavement is a tough time, as it would be for any parent and their privacy for grieving should be respected.
[Our thoughts and wishes are with the Barlow family at this time – as we shared in our post where we honoured Gary’s strength of character for performing at the Olympics]
The Examiner reported:
An “X Factor” U.K. spokesperson confirmed Barlow’s absence with this statement to the Mail Online (the Daily Mail’s website): “Due to personal circumstances Gary Barlow won’t be attending the press launch for ‘The X Factor’ this week but he has been in touch with production to wish everyone well.”
The X-Factor Judges UK 2012 Season 9
The show’s judges are Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
And the X Factor UK host will be Dermot again, Dermott O’Leary. He will be buddying up with the Xtra Factor co-hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
These guys it has been said, will be at the party.
So are there going to be any other celebrities at the party?
There has been speculation that other “X Factor” U.K. alumni could also be at the party, including One Direction, Leona Lewis, Marcus Collins, Aiden Grimshaw, Alexandra Burke and Amelia Lily. All of them are signed to Sony Music (the record-company partner of “The X Factor”) and they all have new music releases in 2012 to promote.
However, this annual media event typically does not have a lot of “X Factor” alumni attending since the show’s publicists want the media’s focus at the event to be on the show’s upcoming season, not past seasons.
As Simon Cowell will be in that US working on the X Factor US version of the show he will not be able to attend.
So with the X Factor 2012 Premiere party on the 16th, in a matter of a couple of days it will premiere our TV screens on August 18, 2012, on ITV1, at 8 p.m.
It all looks set to be a fun party on the 16th and the kick-start to the new season has an air of excitement about it.
